From March 12, 2018 – March 18, 2018 we are praying and fasting 12 hours per day (6am – 6pm) only drinking water.
Day 3: March 14, 2018:
Read: Nehemiah 5:6 – 13
Memory verse: Nehemiah 5: 12 Then said they, We will restore them, and will require nothing of them; so will we do as thou sayest. Then I called the priests, and took an oath of them, that they should do according to this promise. 13 Also I shook my lap, and said, So God shake out every man from his house, and from his labour, that performeth not this promise, even thus be he shaken out, and emptied. And all the congregation said, Amen, and praised the Lord. And the people did according to this promise.
Nehemiah was confronted with those who were in Jerusalem but benefited from the pain of the people of Jerusalem. He understood that while life in the kingdom will sometimes involve confrontation, prayer will help others repent and be righteous. That is why Nehemiah had to begin with himself before he could confront anyone else.
Pray today:
1. Against all opposition to the progress of building #teamKingdom in your church, even if it is from you.
2. For peace in your family, calling your family members by name; be certain to also include family members you do not know and,
3. That you forgive and be slow to anger with your family.
After you read and pray throughout the day, be sure to take at least 5 minutes to listen for God to respond. Keep a journal to record what you hear Him say.
