From June 18, 2018 – June 24, 2018 we are praying and fasting 12 hours per day (6am – 6pm) only drinking water.
Day 6: June 23, 2018
Read: John 13:12 – 14
Memory verse: John 13: 14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.
Jesus became like us to clean us and ultimately present us back to Himself. Instead of jockeying for position and arguing over who is better, we need to be doing all that we can to emulate Jesus. Jesus is The Master, yet He was a servant. True servants treat everyone with respect. The Lord provides unconditional, unbiased, unwavering and sacrificial love. If we love people in this manner we should also joyfully serve them in this manner.
Pray today:
1. To emulate Jesus’ love and servant’s heart.
2. To intentionally seek out opportunities to serve others and,
3. To be used to pass along the joy of The Lord to others.
After you read and pray throughout the day, be sure to take time to listen for God to respond. Keep a journal to record what you hear Him say.
